SEQ #17
Tao Te Ching Leadership Principles (Part 3)
•A wise person lets go in order to achieve
•The wise person knows how to be still and feel deeply and will therefore be effective
•A wise person should not try to be holy and point out how holy he is
•Trying to appear brilliant is not enlightenment but insecurity
•A wise person has stability and sense of self and does not make judgmental mistakes
•A wise person must know when to listen, to act, to talk and to withdraw when necessary
•The wise person will only intervene harshly when all else fails
•The intelligent person knows how other people behave. However, only the wise person knows himself. This is because the management of others takes strength, but the management of one’s own life takes true power
•Selflessness keeps the wise project leader centred. Centre creates order, and when there is order, there is little to do
