Tao Te Ching Leadership Principles:

•Leaders should recognize that power comes through co-operation, independence through service and greater self through selflessness

•The quiet path leads to amore conscious existence

•The good leader knows how to be creative

•In order to lead, the project leader must first learn how to follow

•A compassionate person acts on behalf of everyone’s right

•The leader should never seek a fight. If a fight comes to him, he should yield and step back. His strength is good intelligence. This is not cowardice but shrewdness. A lot of minor, peripheral, insignificant matters are not worth fighting for. We must look at the ‘big’ picture!

•It is impossible for the wise leader to know everything

•Whatever is fluid, soft and yielding, will overcome whatever is rigid and hard. What is soft can be strong. Hence, the wise project leader knows that yielding overcomes resistance and gentleness melts rigid defences. The ability to be soft makes the person a leader

•A wise leader helps others to find success not just his own
